For shipping purposes, a thin layer of textile has been applied to the bottom of your new shoes. It will peel off with wear. This is normal and will not affect their performance in any way.

To clean, use a soft brush or cloth to gently brush off any dirt or debris from the shoes. Use a clean, damp cloth to spot clean and consider applying a fabric protector spray designed for cotton to help repel stains and water.
